Relax in Alentejo and immerse yourself in a genuine atmosphere
CASAROSA Guesthouse Alentejo can mean an escape so close, or a stay in a peaceful place at the heart of a historic village surrounded by rural life. In this small refuge, the focus on tranquility and the beauty of Alentejo blend into an atmosphere of charm and comfort. A space designed for adults, with a calm and peaceful atmosphere.
Welcoming atmosphere
CASAROSA Guesthouse Alentejo was once an old warehouse and barn, fully rebuilt into a family project.
In an eclectic atmosphere, the décor is filled with iron and glass details, reclaimed wood, handcrafted terracotta tiles, colorful hydraulic mosaics, and natural stone.
Its colors transport us to a Mediterranean setting, to the hilltop towns of Tuscany or the serene landscapes of Gaul. Above all, it is inspired by the soul and spirit of Alentejo.
Wake up to mornings accompanied by the songs of blackbirds and swallows disputing the village rooftops, or witness the star‑filled skies on warm summer nights.

Alcáçovas
A village with history and traditions
Alcáçovas combines authentic tranquility with proximity to multiple destinations, and is only 120 km from Lisbon.
Here, highlights include visiting the Paço dos Henriques, the Chapel of the Shells and its Garden, the Main Church, and the Chocalho Museum.
In Viana do Alentejo, right next door, where pottery is still a living art, you should visit its castle and the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Aires.
Wine tastings
Also in Viana do Alentejo, Adega Hortas Velhas — a wine‑revival project with roots in the Roman Empire and in Portugal’s first Social Winery (1893) — offers tastings of local wines.
Between Évora and the Alentejo Coast
Less than half an hour from Alcáçovas are Évora (cathedral and Roman temple) and Alcácer do Sal (castle and access to the Atlantic beaches).
River Beaches
Cool off and toast by the water at the Oriola river beach, about 20 minutes away, or at the Odivelas Dam, Pego do Altar Reservoir, and Vale do Gaio Reservoir — perfect choices for fishing and water sports.
N2 — our Portuguese “Route 66” — km 551
The iconic National Road 2, which crosses the country from north to south, passes through the village of Alcáçovas. It is the ideal destination for cyclists and motorcyclists to stay overnight and relax for a few days.
